My Approach at Thrive Again Therapy

At Thrive Again Therapy, I bring together trauma-informed insight and adoption-sensitive care to help you and your family thrive.

  • I integrate EMDR, CBT, ACT, IFS, TBRI & Play Therapy to support healing
  • I offer individualized, developmentally attuned support for children, adults, and families
  • I focus on building connection, supporting emotional regulation, processing grief, and fostering secure attachment

Whether you’re seeking deeper connection, clarity, or support through a difficult season—I’m here to help. Your story matters. Your roots are honored. And your healing is possible.

What Is Adoption Competent Therapy?

Adoption Competent Therapy is an approach that understands adoption is not a one-time event—but a lifelong journey with emotional, relational, and identity dimensions.

As an adoption-competent therapist, I bring specialized training to help me:

  • Understand the lifelong impact of loss and grief
  • Support clients as they work through attachment injuries and early relational trauma
  • Help individuals and families explore complex questions around identity, race, and culture
  • Guide families navigating the dynamics of open adoption, kinship care, and search & reunion

I work with adoptees, birth parents, adoptive/foster caregivers, and siblings—offering an inclusive, affirming space for the whole constellation.

What Can You Expect in Therapy?

In therapy, individuals and families can expect to enter a safe and supportive space where healing begins with connection.

“Safety is not the absence of threat, it is the presence of connection.”— Dr. Gabor Maté

Through deeper self-awareness, therapy helps people reconnect with their most authentic selves—the ability to know what they feel, listen to their bodies, and express who they truly are in their daily lives and relationships.

Together, we work to release shame and dismantle false beliefs that keep us locked in harmful patterns, creating room for healthier ways of being.

Families and individuals are equipped with practical tools and a compassionate environment that support growth, resilience, and genuine connection.
